After being so incredibly bored setting around the house because of a horrible weather, I had these flashbacks of my travels during summer time. Sure my friends have already seen a lot of my photos on facebook or on my flickr account but it sure is nice (at least for me) to tell some story behind these pictures. I want to share you some of my adventures in Montreal, last summer, oh no! I know it's too late. But it's better late than never...
First lets go about the food. I always have thought that food in North America is all about meat, fries and all that greasy food. Here's what I came to taste- the taste of Montreal's famous- poutin. I was expecting it to be the best, maybe there are the best ones out there but this is definitely not became the favorite of my palate. To give you an idea, not that you can't see it on the picture, but it's a bunch of very hot french fries with cheese and gravy on top.
Me: A set of A.
Crew: Do you want your hotdog all-dressed?
Confused Me: All-dressed? What's all-dressed?
Todd, butting in before the crew answers:Just say YES.
Confused Me to the crew: Yes.
I then realized that all-dressed means everything in and on it, when I saw the crew flapping, showering, garnishing and all that culinary terms I have no idea about, things on top of that poor little hotdog. I've heard that term before but I'm 100% sure I was buying fresh whole chicken from the market. You see what I mean? You can't see the hotdog inside the bun because it is indeed very well dressed up!
Now let me tell you something. I am a catholic and I was born in a country where 85% of it's population is Catholic. The most time I've seen and visited churches was on this trip. It was uplifting and I actually felt at home.
Notre Dame. The exact replica of the one in France. |

Underneath this church is a huge underground shopping mall. |

In every boat there will be a captain, a driver and a tour guide to answer every question they can possibly answer:-D They're all bilingual English and French. I wish they had Tagalog or Japanese too. Just kidding. :-P
The famous Habitat. Designed by Israeli–Canadian architect Moshe Safdie. A closer view from the boat. You must be stinky rich to be able to afford to stay at this place. I wonder how much it cost..hmmmm..Let me think. Me thinks, it's unthinkable :-P
Old Montreal is the best place I've been in Canada. It's quiet, lot's of things to do, lots of places to go, historic and most importantly it's beautiful.
In every places you go, there are bad points and good points but to be a happy traveler or just to be a happy person, take the bad with the good because it's not the end of the world.
